Marketing your practice to let people know about your Naturopathic Medical services is obviously important, but marketing to specifically attract the type of patients you want to help is a whole other ball game.
Doctors tell me all the time about how they have lots of patients but wish they had more of their “ideal patients”.
This happens when the marketing they do is general marketing for their practice and not focused on their ideal patients.
There are five keys to filling your practice with more of your ideal patients, I call it the rule of Five Ones.
The rule of Five Ones is something I learned about 8 years ago from my business coach and it has changed everything about my coaching practice and for hundreds of naturoptahic doctors whom I’ve helped implement it into their practice.
The Five ones are:
- One Laser Focused Target (Your Ideal Patient)
- One Problem (Health Issue)
- One Solution (Your Signature System)
- One No Risk, Irresistible Offer
- One Year
Often doctors tell me they can’t do this because they are general practitioners, meaning they help all kinds of patients with a huge array of health issues and they are afraid they will miss out on opportunities with other patients if they focus on one health issue like this. As I shared with one doctor who had this concern, that is classic F.O.M.I. : Fear Of Missing Income!
The reality is by trying to offer everything to everyone you are limiting your income potential and missing out on the fastest way to having a million dollar practice. Most NDs who are general practitioners are struggling to keep up. They struggle with the marketing, the cash flow, the charting, the research, the patient follow up, etc. On top of that they are working crazy hours and unfortunately in some cases they simply run out of money or or both and burn out from the ongoing overwhelm.
When you focus your marketing with the Five Ones, life gets simpler, income goes up, free time increases and life gets back in balance.
One ND client just outside Seattle Washington was in that “struggling” situation when I met him first, he was so busy trying to do it all he was on the verge of quitting.
