Almost two years ago Dr. Sandra Miranda, an ND from Ajax, Ontario attended one of my webinar training programs. As part of our “On-Boarding” process to our Achievers Club she shared with me that she has had her practice in Ontario for 16 years, her practice was well established, her team was in place, she loved working with her patients and helping them with their health issues and had a great reputation with her patients, yet she was still working way too hard for the income she was making and she was frustrated.
I remember her telling me “ I’m still working crazy hours, I still don’t know how to market the practice, I have no action plan and it’s like a roller coaster; one month is great then the next is really slow. I am stuck and honestly I feel like it shouldn’t be this hard after 16 years in practice… in fact I’ve even thought about quitting”.
Fast forward to today:
Sandra has a clear action plan in place, her marketing is working and automated, she still works very hard, but is working fewer hours than she used to and spending more time with her family and her practice has grown in revenue by over 60% in the past 18 months from $30k per month to over $50K per month!
How did she do it?
In a word … she implemented!
All too often I see NDs who say they want to change, who say they will do the work if they are told what to do … they then attend trainings, take great notes, plan their action steps … and then fail to implement. But not this Naturopathic Doctor!
As soon as we started working together Dr. Miranda got focused. In our phone calls I could hear the energy and determination she had for finding a solution that would work for her and her practice.
She made good, well thought through decisions, and more importantly, she made them quickly. Within days of making a decision, she would implement with perfection.
With the first three key marketing strategies in place, quality new leads started to come in and new patients were coming on board. This first boost in revenues and success fueled Sandra’s ambition and gave her the motivation she needed to achieve more and help even more patients.
Next step was automation. Developing systems and using technology to automate the marketing so it didn’t take up so much time. This of course gives Sandra more freedom to focus on other areas of her practice or her life.
Today her practice revenues are growing beyond her goals and Sandra is focusing on the next steps to scale her practice globally to help people beyond her local reach.
Dr. Miranda is a great example of what is possible when you put your mind to it. Regardless if you’ve been in practice for a few months or a several years, the opportunity to grow your practice is always there … if you are willing to do the work!
